Non-specific Massage: These types of session will involve lengthy massage techniques: including deep tissues and myofascial release technique that focuses on rigid areas of muscle and tendons. As a result, circulation and range of motion is increased while inflammation is decreased. Clients can request specific areas to be focused on such as back or sore tight legs; the treatment has been found to reduce resulting pain and increase mobility making you feel more energised.
Injury specific: The first step for every new client is to have a 1 hour consultation; this will include a thorough assessment essential to understanding the cause of the presenting conditions and symptoms. It will consist of various testing to highlight problem areas and posture positioning – this will help to give structure to future treatment plans. A sports massage will also be included in the initial consultation.
Treatments thereafter will be one hour long appointments consisting of short progress assessments and lengthy massage techniques on the specific problem areas and take home care and advice.
