Why balding at 30 years old isn’t uncommon!

Aug 5, 2022

We all know that balding is a problem that affects a lot of men, but what many people don’t realize is that it can start as early as 30 years old. The first signs of balding may be subtle, but they can be very alarming if you don’t know what to look for.

So here are some common signs of balding at 30 years old:

1. Hairline receding.

This is one of the most common signs of male pattern baldness (MPB). When it comes to hair loss in men, MPB accounts for over 95% of cases. It starts with an area on the top/crown of your head where hair begins to thin out and retreat. Over time, this area will gradually get larger until it covers the entire top/crown of your head and maybe even extends down your forehead.

2. Hair loss in patches on top/crown of the head and on the sides.

If you notice that there are patches on your head where there used to be plenty of hair and now there’s less than there used to be, then you might have patchy male pattern baldness (PPMB). PPMB can happen in addition to MPB or independently from it; either way it’s something that you should be aware of and it’s something that your doctor can help with.
